Mr. Guillaume Lemieux was only 17 years old when he founded the company G.A.L., a company offering excavation services in the Eastern Townships (Cantons-de-l’Est). To meet the requests of its customers (i.e., the ministère des Transports, RCM, municipalities, and large companies), G.A.L. quickly improved and diversified the offered services: brush clearing operations, trimming, snow removal, landscaping works, etc. Over the years, the company equipped itself with various high-performance and innovative equipment. Today, the company owns more than 60 machines and vehicles, and has more than 60 employees.

As part of his work at G.A.L., and more particularly when performing his excavation works, Guillaume Lemieux gained a considerable experience in the field. Indeed, he had to face many scenarios, challenges of tight deadlines, varied sites and underground configurations, problematic differences in levels (governmental, local, and environmental) rules and regulations to comply with, etc. Yet, Guillaume Lemieux has always overcome the challenges and found solutions to meet his customers’ expectations! Enthusiastic, dynamic, and constantly looking for new stimulating horizons, Guillaume Lemieux has also worked in the real estate development field. In fact, after buying a more-than-100-acres former golf course in Lac-Brome, he co-founded the housing project “L’Art de vivre.” Architectural choices that suit the region, trees preservation, the existing lakes, as well as a carbon-neutral certification for sure contributed to the success of this project. For that matter, most lots were sold rapidly. This is another success story that can be added to the achievements list of this wise and dynamic entrepreneur.
